About

Using classic and modern literature is the best method for learning to communicate both effectively and logically while being able to visually see the English language in use. This includes a broad range of vocabulary and grammatical concepts which will help in broadening the reader’s mind while providing a naturally fun environment to learn in. Depending on both the student’s age and English speaking ability we seek to provide interactive discussions that are age-appropriate and fun.

Classes

• Readers: using various classic books (picture and chapter books) to teach, engage and verbalize the students own thoughts.
• Oral English: using Oxford Picture Dictionary to build vocabulary, discus life topics and practice with everyday dialogue.
• Phonics: using Bob Books to develop basic, foundational English skills at the pre-beginner level.
• Building Virtues: using The Book of Virtues to read together, instill good virtues and open discussion about the story and how it relates to everyday life.
• World History: using the Story of the World to learn about world history from a classical education perspective, build vocabulary and open discussion.
• Study the Book: (FREE) using the Action Bible to learn, engage and practice further English skills.

• Students in multi-student lessons are RESPONSIBLE to coordinate together to change the class time or cancel class. OTHERWISE, each student will be charged per multi-student lesson regardless of attendance. 

*Each individual new family unit or new class group referred earns 10 minutes towards a class credit, following the completion of the new family unit/new class group completing classes over a one (1) month period.

Hi, my name is Hunter and this is my wife, Xin. We have 5 children and love working with kids, teaching and learning - especially through great books! While we have a favorite Book, we love reading many different books with our children. In a culture that gives our children hours on end with the TV and tablets learning trivial things, we wanted to offer something different.

While there are many great English programs, we also wanted to incorporate great literary works too. Many of our everyday conversations are limited by the things we fill our mind with, yet when we dive into great books, we find a whole new world of words, ideas and stories to learn from.
